Read the result carefully

Most states give creditors a set number of months after the first published notice, and also cut off claims a fixed time after death even if no notice was published. Known creditors may need a mailed notice with its own deadline. Courts count days under local rules, so treat the result as a planning estimate and confirm with the court clerk or a probate attorney.
